A MOTHER has spoken of her pride after her five-year-old daughter shaved some of her hair for a good cause.
Five-year-old Ivy, who lives in Bussage, is raising money for the Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust provide real hair wigs for children who have suffered hair loss through cancer treatment and other conditions.
Ivy's mum Chloe Kellett said: "Ivy has never wanted more than a trim as she’s always wanted Rapunzel long hair.
"But after hearing about the trust where you can donate your hair to children who have lost their hair due to cancer and other illnesses she was determined this was something she had to do.
"As she’s only five I wanted to make sure this was something she wouldn’t regret.
"Whenever I asked her if she was sure this is what she wanted to do she would just reply - 'Yes, someone else can have this now and mine will grow back’.
"We are so proud of her for doing such a kind thing for other people.
"She loves her new hair and is so happy someone gets new hair because of her."
