A 60-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with racially insulting a woman in Stroud.
Stuart Benson Dowler, of Park View Drive, Cashes Green, is alleged to have used racially insulting words with the intention to cause distress towards a woman in Stroud on Saturday, January 7.
Dowler, commonly known as ‘Bence’, has been charged under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
The case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 4.
According to the court list, Dowler refused to enter a plea which the court recorded as not guilty.
He has been remanded on unconditional bail pending a trial at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Monday, December 11.
