POLICE say they are dealing with increased traffic on the commons in Minchinhampton at night, when the cattle are the most vulnerable.
Officers are imploring residents to adhere to the speed limits and the lack of light at night when travelling and to be aware that there is diverted traffic in certain areas during the night for the next few weeks due to roadworks.
Drivers should also be mindful that the area is with free-roaming cattle.
Police say they have already had multiple cow deaths this year.
