BRILLIANT old photographs of Stroud and the surrounding district in our nostalgia section this week.
The Bear Inn in Bisley and the Bear at Rodborough both make an appearance in the wonderful pictures from yesteryear.
Does anyone remember having a drink in the Union Inn in Stroud which is also pictured?
Birdlip village in the 1950s is also pictured.
All of these photographs were taken with permission from the Facebook group Stroud Area Photographs and Cotswold Picture Postcards which is a wonderful resource for those of us with a passion for local history and nostalgia.
