A CAR PARK in Stroud will offer free parking on Sundays, starting from this weekend.
Five Valleys Shopping Centre is launching free parking this Sunday, October 29 in the hope of supporting Christmas shopping plus to encourage people to eat out and buy locally.
The shopping centre, which is home to over 30 independent businesses, is open seven days a week.
In an attempt to boost Sunday trade, free parking will run right up to the end of the year including on Sunday, December 31.
Centre manager at Five Valleys, Jack Simpson, said: “Footfall to the centre has really exploded on Saturdays with peak numbers reaching over 11,000 people.
“The centre’s indoor food market and many of the stores are also open on Sundays from 10am until 4pm.
"Shoppers have the chance to also visit us on that day to enjoy a slower pace, plenty of things to do with family or friends whilst benefiting from free parking.
"It’s an ideal time to visit us, with the stores all stocked with Christmas gifts and some great offers running too."
