A PRISONER has been sentenced after admitting escaping from a prison near Wotton.
Gary Hopes, aged 54, pleaded guilty to escaping from lawful custody at HMP Leyhill on October 11 this year.
The case was heard at Bristol Crown Court on November 14.
Hopes, of HMP Leyhill, Tortworth Road, Tortworth, was ordered to pay a surcharge of £154 and jailed for a further six months.
