A WOMAN has been penalised after she was caught nearly three times the alcohol limit.
Angela Jones, aged 61, of Back Street, Hawkesbury Upton, Badminton, was caught over the drink-drive limit in Hillesley Road, Wotton on April 23 this year.
She gave a reading of 228 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the legal limit being 80.
The case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 6, where Jones pleaded guilty.
Jones was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £114 surcharge plus £85 in costs - a total of £279.
She was banned from driving for 24 months.
She must also complete up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
