The venue hired for the The Light community's Christmas supper celebration suddenly cancelled the booking, returning the fee but refusing multiple requests for an explanation.
Event promotion and catering materials have gone to waste.
This appears to have been a politically motivated 'cancellation' of a non-political social event.
'The usual suspects' have not claimed responsibility for this action, yet neither have they issued a denial.
The family duties surrounding an imminent bereavement prevent me from commenting at length so I will say only that In my view 'cancelling' another groups Christmas party marks a disgraceful and obnoxious new low in antisocial cancel culture which even Dr. Seuss's Grinch might be ashamed of.
