The crash, which involved a 82-year-old pedestrian and a car, happened outside Prezzo on the Promenade in Cheltenham at around 9.38am on Tuesday, January 23.

The pedestrian was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he was treated for serious head injuries but died later that evening.

The elderly pedestrian was wearing a flat cap, a three-quarter length overcoat and was carrying a large umbrella.

Anyone who may have seen the man or may have dashcam or mobile phone footage from around the time of the collision has been urged to contact Gloucestershire police.
