In all the gloom and worldwide despair which we are being bombarded with at present, I thought I would share with you something lovely that happened to me.
I was in Stroud shopping in Sew and So and was trying to gather up the change in the recesses of my handbag to pay for my small purchase; I didn’t want to use a card for such a tiny amount and pass on an additional cost to Jackie.
I thought I would go to the cashpoint when another customer insisted on paying the additional pound which I was lacking. Initially I was embarrassed, but she said to me you can give a pound to someone else at another time.
That lovely woman made my day. I have been telling everyone about my experience, it was such a kind and generous gesture. I really believe that angels walk among us, and we never know when we are going to meet them!
