A MAN aged 60 from Cirencester has been charged with sexual offences involving a teenage girl.
Michael Murray, of Arnold’s Way, Cirencester, faces three charges at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The charges are attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause a girl aged 13 to engage in sexual activity and making an indecent photograph of a child.
It is alleged that between November 25, 2022 and December 19, 2022, Murray asked a girl he believed to be under 16 to video call him so he could show himself masturbating.
Murray is also alleged to have told the girl he was masturbating over a photo of her.
The second charge is that on December 3, 2022, Murray attempted to incite a girl he believed to have been aged 13 to engage in a sexual act.
The final charge is that on December 17, 2022 he made one Category C indecent photograph of a child.
No pleas have been entered.
