DRIVERS in and around Stroud will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 8pm February 12 to 6am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 14 to 13, lane closure for barrier works.

• M5, from 6am January 29 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 14 to 13, hard shoulder closure for barrier works.

• M5, from 8pm January 29 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 14 to 13, lane closure for barrier works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 9pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 11a to junction 12 lane closure for electrical works.

• M5, from 9pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 12 to junction 13 lane closure for electrical works.

• M5, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 11a to junction 12 lane closure for safety barrier repairs.

• M5, from 8pm February 27 to 6am March 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 14 to 13, lane closure for drainage works.

• M5, from 9pm March 1 to 6am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 12, lane closure for white lining.

• M5, from 10pm March 1 to 6am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 13 entry slip closure for drainage, diversion northbound, on A38 to junction 12.

• M5, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 14 entry slip closed for white lining, diversion via M5, junction 13 and back.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
