WINDOWS in homes and businesses across Wotton were recently transformed into bright and colourful pieces of art.

More than 60 creative windows were created for this year's Wotton Window Wanderland, with the theme of “Happiness is…”.

As part of the event, Blue Coat Primary created an incredible display with over 60 pupil’s artwork which took more than six hours to put together.

Meanwhile, other displays include a tawny owl, a 3D display of swifts, WWT Slimbridge, Harry Potter and Tetris.

Businesses also took part including cafe Relish which had a cake display and Cotswold Edge Ear Care which had lots of ears in its window.

The event which is now in its fourth year ran from Thursday, February 15 to Sunday, February 18 and was organised by two local mums Tasha Cooper and Amy Britton.

Workshops were run Under The Edge Arts throughout January and February to support people in their creations and supply them with materials.

In a joint statement Tasha and Amy said: “Wotton has been part of the Window Wanderland project for the last 4 years and has grown in popularity with over 620 houses taking part over the last four years.

“From individual creations to the local school and local businesses creating wonderful displays, there was a real sense of community.

“We will be running the event again in 2025, and as it will be the fifth anniversary, the theme for next year will be inspired by the number 5.”
