STROUD Town Council is hosting a pop up shop on Thursday, March 7 from 10am to 6pm at the Five Valleys Shopping Centre, 

One of the main focuses will be providing residents with information on how to stand as a candidate for town council in the upcoming local elections on May 2.

Council staff will explain the process for getting on the ballot and requirements for serving.

Voter registration and identification requirements will also be covered.

Residents can check their voter registration status and get clarification on the types of ID that will be required to vote.

Additionally, the town council will gather feedback on their proposed relocation to the Locking Hill site.

Councillors believe this potential move could enhance the council's services and be a great improvement for residents.

Attendees can find out more about the move on Thursday.

The pop up shop will be open from 10am to 6pm this Thursday, March 7th in the Five Valleys shopping area.
