TWO EIGHT YEAR old friends have taken matters into their own hands after attending the SNJ photoshoot to highlight the possible sale of the land at the Heavens. 

Friends Ezra, eight and  Idris, eight attended the SNJ photo shoot at The Heavens to highlight the possible sale of the land and were inspired by Martin Whiteside's speech at the event to help raise some money to preserve the much-loved area.

The pair made a poster, gathered some unused toys and  costume jewellery and stood in their street and asked those who passed by for donations. 

Stroud News and Journal: Two eight year olds raising money as part of the ongoing battle to preserve access to the HeavensThey raised £11 while Idris added over £20 of his own money which will all be donated to the community fund.

Idris said: 'I've been visiting the Heavens since I was tiny, amazing wildlife can be seen there, I couldn't bear the thought of it being spoiled or inaccessible to people'

Ezra added: "I like building dams in the stream, playing, having treasure hunts sharing birthday celebrations there."
