PICTURES have been taken of the stranded ship in Sharpness.
The vessel - a EEMS Servant cargo ship - ran aground on the sands in the Severn Estuary earlier this week on Monday.
A tug previously tried to tow the ship away on Tuesday morning but was unsuccessful.
A spokesperson from Canal & River Trust said the ship had been freed in the early hours of Thursday morning.
They said in statement: “We are pleased that the attempt to re-float Eems Servant in the early hours of Thursday morning was successful.
“The vessel has now docked at Sharpness Port for discharge as planned.”
According to Vessel Finder, the ship docked at Sharpness Dock at approximately 4.18am on Thursday.
The vessel is a General Cargo Ship built in 2010 and is currently sailing under the flag of the Netherlands.
On Thursday, February 29, the EEMS Servant left the Port of Santander in Spain and travelled to Gloucestershire.
