A HOME in Stroud has been closed due to anti-social behaviour.
The property in Bath Road, Rodborough has been closed for three months.
During this time only tenants and relevant authorities are allowed to enter the property.
The order was officially granted to Gloucestershire County Council during a hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 5.
Penalties for breaching the court order include a fine or a period of imprisonment.
According to section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, a Magistrates' Court can make a closure order only if it is satisfied that:
- a person has engaged, or is likely to engage, in disorder, antisocial or criminal behaviour on the premises
- the use of the premises is, or is likely to be, associated with disorder or nuisance to members of the public
- the order is necessary to prevent the occurrence, or reoccurrence, of the disorder, nuisance or antisocial/criminal behaviour
