AN APPLICATION for a licence to serve alcohol at a popular Stroud festival has been lodged. 

Stroud Food and Drink Festival is due to take place between Friday, May 17 and Sunday, May 19 at Bank Gardens in Stroud. 

An alcohol licence has now been submitted to Stroud District Council

If approved, alcohol could be sold between 2pm and 10.15pm on the Friday, between 11am and 10.15pm on the Saturday and between 12pm and 6pm on the Sunday. 

According to the application, the opening hours would be from 2pm to 10.45pm on the Friday, between 11am and 10.45pm on the Saturday and between 12pm to 6pm on the Sunday. 

Live music could be played on the Friday between 6pm and 9pm, on the Saturday between 2pm and 9pm and on the Sunday between 12pm and 6pm.

Organisers previously stated that in 2023 25,000 people hit the town for the festival.
