A NEW Sports Direct is set to open at the Five Valleys Shopping Centre in the spring.
Sports Direct, a national and international sports and fitness retailer, will be opening a new 10,000 square foot unit at the shopping centre.
The Five Valleys store will offer sports and lifestyle brands across footwear, clothing and equipment as well as featuring more brands from Frasers Group’s ecosystem including USC and GAME.
The unit, which can be found opposite the indoor food market, became vacant in September last year when household convenience store, Wilko, announced their nationwide closure.
Managing director at Dransfield Properties, James Shepherd, said: “We are delighted to be working with Sports Direct on their move to Five Valleys, which will see investment in Stroud, additional jobs and better brands coming to the town.
“We hope to make announcements soon on the retailer taking the unit next door.”
A spokesperson from Frasers Group said: “We are pleased to be opening a new 10,000 sq. ft Sports Direct store, located in Stroud’s Five Valleys.
"The store will offer customers the world’s best sports and lifestyle brands, as well as bring other brands from Frasers Group’s ecosystem, including USC and GAME, to the location.”
The store is expected to open in the spring.
