Freddie Turner from Stroud began his journey into the world of racing in 2022 at the age of 8, amidst the roar of Indoor Karting engines.

He dove headfirst into the adrenaline-fueled atmosphere of the Race Academy at TeamSport Go Karting in Bristol.

In less than six months, he soared through the ranks, as he blazed his way into the indoor karting leagues.

His debut in the championship was nothing short of impressive, clinching a respectable 4th place.

This earned him a ticket to the local finals of the prestigious 2023 British Indoor Karting Championships (BIKC).

But Freddie's hunger for victory didn't stop there. In 2024, he stormed through the Winter Championship, clinching an impressive 3rd place, and now he's targeting the top in the summer indoor championship whilst eyeing BIKC 2024 qualification.

Freddie's racing prowess extends beyond the confines of indoor tracks.

He's been honing his skills in the Global Karting League run by legendary Rob Smedley.

This league, with its high-performance battery-powered karts, levels the playing field, making success solely dependent on driver talent.

Moreover, it cleverly intertwines STEM subjects into the thrill of motorsport, offering online modules that turn learning into an exciting adventure.

Beyond the chequered flag, Freddie's journey is one of personal growth.

Over the years, he's not only evolved as a racer but also as a person. forging deep bonds with fellow drivers from all corners of the country.

In 2024, Freddie's achievements are already stacking up:

• On the national stage, he's making waves in the Global Karting League, recently scoring his first podium finish in Round 2.

• He's qualified for the prestigious Daniel Ricciardo Series.

• And let's not forget his stellar 3rd place finish in the Teamsport Bristol Championship.
