A LEGAL firm have announced their expansion into a new premises at the Five Valleys Shopping Centre.

Gloucestershire conveyancing specialists, Montpellier Legal have committed to 2000 sq ft of office space currently under construction at the town centre shopping centre, which is simultaneously undergoing a £30m refurbishment.

The team came to celebrate a traditional topping out ceremony at the site last week joining key representatives from property developers, Dransfield Properties, who have been remodelling the centre since 2019.

The special topping out ceremony marked the completion of the steel work by local contractors, S & C Bennett Construction.

Flags have historically been hung at building sites as part of topping out ceremonies, and so two Union Jacks were draped on the scaffold to help mark the occasion.

Director for Dransfield Properties, Andrew Malley, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Montpellier Legal to Five Valleys.

“This is the culmination of a lot of work in terms of procuring the building and the firm will be bringing a professional business into the centre of Stroud.

“The company is expanding and bringing in more jobs for local people and in doing so is supporting the business community in Stroud.”

Nick Ponting, chief operating officer, said: “Having grown up and worked in Stroud for a number of years, it’s really exciting to launch our newest office in the town, specifically within Five Valleys.

"Bringing Montpellier Legal to Stroud will further enhance the experience for our clients and introducers.”
