THE ARCHBISHOP of Canterbury will be appearing in Stroud later this week.
After moving into the site at Brimscombe Mill in 2021, the social enterprises which are part of the Grace Network such as the Long Table, Kids Stuff, Furniture Bank and the Bike Drop, are looking for another home after it emerged in March that the site was set to be sold.
Members from these organisations say they are 'overwhelmed' with the support shown to them at this time and to this end are throwing a party on Friday, May 24 for everyone.
There will be live music, activities and food plus the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will be appearing to speak after dinner.
Welby has been the Archbishop of Canterbury since 2013 and has been outspoken on his views regarding poverty, foodbanks, refugees and wider issues of social injustice.
