MOTORISTS are being urged to obey stop and go signs in the county after a number of near misses with road workers.
Repair teams have been relying on the reversible signs while filling potholes on roads across the county.
But some drivers have ignored instructions to wait and several accidents were narrowly avoided as a result.
Offenders who disobey the signs can be issued with £60 fines, have three points on their license or be summonsed to court.
