STRATFORD Park in Stroud has once again been the subject of vandalism.
Flowerbeds at the park’s entrance were pulled out and thrown over the road on the night of Monday, August 2.
Vandals also left a trail of damage throughout the park, breaking limbs from trees and smashing bottles.
The vandalism was repeated again on the Tuesday evening and staff were once again repairing damage on Wednesday morning.
Mike McCrea, the park's contract supervisor, said: "Once again, we are seeing evidence of blatant vandalism in the park, and this is particularly upsetting considering only last week the park celebrated winning a Green Flag award for the seventh year running.
"There are so many positive things happening in the park at present, such as a new wildlife pond, ongoing initiatives for biodiversity and a programme of excellent activities and events at the museum in the park.
"We understand these acts of vandalism are carried out by a small minority and we will not be disillusioned or deterred from our main objective, which is maintaining and providing the public with a first class park."
Anyone with information about the vandalism should call police on 0845 090 1234.
