police, the Fire Service and the Ambulance Service were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision between junction 9 and junction 10 of the M5 southbound this morning.
The collision happened at 8.20am and involved a silver Citroen Picasso, registered to an address in Lancashire, which collided with the central reservation before coming to a halt in the embankment to the side of the carriageway.
The occupants of the car, a man and a woman, received minor injuries.
A single lane of the motorway was closed for one mile to junction ten while police attended the scene.
The car is due to be recovered within the next hour.
