THIS was another excellent year of A-level results at Marling School Sixth Form where ten students achieved three A grade passes or better.
Beaming Christian Nicholls, 18, achieved a phenomenal four A*s in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry.
Christian will now go and study maths at Exeter University.
"I am a little bit surprised," he said.
"I didn’t expect these results but I am so happy."
High-achieving David Rendell, who lives in Randwick, was also delighted with three A*s in maths, further maths and physics and two As in chemistry and English.
"I did five subjects because I could not choose which to drop," he said.
"My results are brilliant, I’m really happy."
David, 18, is off to Warwick University to study maths.
Another happy student was Rory Cowlam, 17, who achieved his dream of securing a place at the The Royal Veterinary College in London with As in maths and chemistry and a B in biology.
Elliott Ballam, 18, who lives in Nailsworth exceeded the A and two Bs he needed to get into Plymouth University to study architecture.
He was excited to achieve an A* in PE and As in maths and physics.
A large number of Marling boys significantly exceeded their predicted grades with 55 per cent of grades at A* to B.
Headteacher Stuart Wilson said: "The results reflect the hard work of the students and the staff and we wish our Year 13 students every future success as they continue their studies at university or start their careers."
