A TEAM of six hairdressers at Impression Hair Design joined thousands of fundraisers across the country to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign recently.
The stylists in Rowcroft, Stroud celebrated Wear It Pink Day with aptly coloured champagne and cakes.
A cut and blow-dry and hair care products were raffled and one happy customer won a manicure after coming closest to guessing the correct number of marshmallows in a jar.
Hairdressers demonstrated how to achieve poker straight hair and full barrelled curls with the Pink Orchid Limited Edition styler by GHD - and £10 from every sale went to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Marie Rodway, manager, said it was the first time the salon had participated in Wear It Pink day but hoped it would be the first of many.
"I am pleased we raised £160 for charity. It was a fun day and it was nice to see some of our regulars as well as meeting new customers," said Marie.
Wear It Pink Day is officially held on Friday, October 28 - if anyone else is organising an event and would like it covered by the SNJ please call the newsdesk on 01453 769427.
