LEE Gibbs was disqualified from driving for 14 months after admitting a charge of drink driving at Stroud Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 14.
Louise Pinder, prosecuting, described how officers pulled Gibbs over after he was spotted driving ‘erratically’ in Beeches Green in Stroud around 3.15am on November 27.
A road side breath test confirmed he had 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
Gibbs, aged 24, of Folly Lane, Stroud, said he would likely lose his job if disqualified from driving and added that his actions were ‘out of character’ and that he had been ‘naive’ as to how much he had drank.
On top of the ban, Gibbs was also ordered to pay a £250 fine, £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
