VANDALS in Ebley ran riot on Thursday night, damaging vehicles, spray-painting front doors, and daubing graffiti on parked cars.

In Golden Jubilee Way, the letters ‘NGT’ and a swastika were sprayed on the front door of a home and on a black Nissan Micra.

Another home in the road was also defaced and a car scratched, while more graffiti was spray-painted on to the road surface. In Foxmoor Lane, the tyres of a Daihatsu were slashed and ‘Don’t Park Here’ was sprayed in black paint across the bonnet of a silver Renault Megane.

Shane Healey, the owner of the Megane, said: "My wife had parked our car on the road outside the house.

"There are no parking restrictions and it wasn’t blocking anyone’s drive.

"At first we thought it was only our car that had been targeted but it now seems like it was just mindless vandals.

Mr Healey, who works as a train driver, added: "I was absolutely shocked when I saw the car in the morning.

"I am going to have to get it resprayed because it cannot be driven like that."
