BORDERS alongside Stroud Maternity Hospital should provide a blaze of colour this spring, thanks to Stroud in Bloom.
Recently a community effort, involving 17 volunteers including staff from Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust, met to prepare ground, weed and then plant out borders and pots.
A number of organisations were very generous in their donations with plants and bulbs from Wilkinsons, B & Q and Morrisons. Woodlodge Products provided pots and a large load of compost was kindly donated by Bisley Composting.
Although it was hard work, the rain held off and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
