Hopelands Preparatory School receive 'Independent Schools Association' national art competition results

HOPELANDS Preparatory School entered twenty pieces of work into the first regional round of the ISA National Art Competition, which was held at St Edwards School, Cheltenham.

This opportunity was open to all independent schools in the county so competition was very high.

Hopelands' entries incorporated art pieces from all age groups that had been completed in art lessons prior to the announcement of the competition.

They achieved three first places, one second place and five highly commended awards.

Mrs Jane Barrett, Head of Art at Hopelands said: "Thank you to all the children for all their wonderful work. We are very proud of you all. It just goes to show, you get back what you put into your work. Well done to all of you and it is a real bonus that some of your peers can carry our school name forward on behalf of us all to the national competition."

The first place art work is now entered for the National competition in Daventry at the ISA Conference on November 14.

Mrs Barrett added: "Fingers crossed. Whatever the outcome you have done the school proud."
