Bargains galore at Christmas Fayre

SAINT James’ Church Quedgeley will be holding its Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 28, in the Quedgeley Community Centre School Lane Quedgeley from 2pm.

Opening the fayre will be Mark Lester who as a child played Oliver in the musical.

There will be an assortment of stalls from arts, crafts, bric-a-brac, raffles, tombolas.

It will be an opportunity for folk to pick up a Christmas bargain, have a flutter on one of the raffles or buy a few tasty cakes from the cake stall.

It is likely that Father Christmas will be visiting during the afternoon.

Father John, Rector and Parish Priest said: “The Saint James Christmas Fayre is now turning into an annual event. Our church congregation are very innovative and work extremely hard to raise funds during the year, but we really need help from the community, to make this event a success. All proceeds from the fayre will be used towards the up keep of the church. Some churches across the country face closure, we are fortunate we are not in this situation yet, but we mustn’t be complacent. Your Church Needs You – support us on 28th!”
