Lansdown Art Club: Speaker Jan Whitton gives a demonstration with pastels
MEMBERS of Lansdown Art Club were well rewarded for turning out on a dark, damp evening when Jan Whitton gave a stunning and informative demonstration.
Using pastels, she created water tumbling from a sunlit plateau, down over dark, moss covered rocks and through shading trees.
Questions regarding choice of paper, tips on framing and techniques of application were all answered comprehensively.
Again the use of the microphone was appreciated by speaker and audience.
The 'Picture of the Month' was won by Kathy Ecott with her watercolour of a coastal scene.
The next meeting is on December 8, when the club will hold its AGM.
We look forward to members bringing ideas and suggestions to keep the club stimulated and enlivened.
It will be at 7.30pm in Sainsbury's cafe.
After the official part of the evening, there will be time to enjoy refreshments and social chat.
