Christmas Countdown raises over £19,000
SUPPORTERS in the Cotswolds and the surrounding area geared up for Christmas with a variety of festive fundraising events, raising a combined total of £19,631 for young cancer patients and their families.
It was full of fun packed events; Christmas fayres, jumper days, concerts and carolling to name just a few of the activities.
Generous donations were also received by those who chose not to send Christmas cards, and together they showed real support for the families CLIC Sargent helps.
The CLIC Sargent Christmas Appeal brought attention to the 200 children and young people who would be diagnosed with cancer over Christmas.
And the Cotswolds’ response was fantastic.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Caroline Marshall said; ‘I am amazed by all of the fantastic fundraising in the Cotswolds this Christmas period. It was brilliant to see so many fun ways for the communities to come together and I am very grateful for all the wonderful donations in the area supporting children and young people with cancer.’
