Arts and Crafts Exhibition at Whiteshill & Ruscombe Village Hall on Sunday, May 1
AN EXHIBITION of paintings, prints, pottery and textile-art by Stroud-based artists and crafts-people was presented at the show, together with a display of some innovative pieces of art by pupils from Whiteshill Primary School.
Community spirit was unanimous in raising funds needed for refurbishing the village hall.
Exhibits for sale included an eclectic mix of paintings from Barry Hill, Tony Pegg, Phil Jefferies, Gemma Waters and Chris King, together with a collection of glazed pottery from Lansdown Pottery, Stroud.
Other items produced by Shirley Charley and Liane James were also displayed.
In addition, textile-art items created from recycled memories stitched with mementos were available for sale from The Little Wren House Factory, Stroud.
Proceeds from the sale of artworks, refreshments, cakes, and raffle, amounted to £250.
The Village Hall Committee would like to thank everyone who was involved and supported what was a memorable event.
