THE AGM of the Stonehouse Women's Royal British Legion took place at the Community Centre on Thursday, October 27.
The meeting started with the exhortation and silent tribute.
There were 25 members present.
Janet our chairman read out the statement of accounts.
Janet was re-elected chairman, with Rosemary Bodenham as vice chairman.
Our new branch president is Doreen Burford.
The treasurer is Sandra Sowls and the secretaries are Penny Sweet and Barbara Evans.
There were three joint competition winners for the year, Theresa Beales, Janet Walsh and June Dolphin.
Members were reminded of the Remembrance Service on the Green at 11 o'clock on the November 11, and the parade and service on Sunday, November 13 at 12 o'clock.
We were shown a letter and certificate of thanks from Samaritan`s purse and our Standard bearer Nicky Rudge was presented with a small gift.
Wrapped lucky dip items are needed for the Goodwill Fest on December 3.
Our festive lunch will be on January 26.
Our next meeting is our annual craft afternoon on November 24 when entries of craft and cooking are invited.
The winner of the competition for a favourite mug was Stella Gardner.
