Stroud Rotary Club: A joint 95 Charter Celebration and Presidents Night held at The Old Lodge Inn, Minchinhampton
ON MONDAY last over 50 Rotarians and Guest of Stroud Rotary Club celebrated their 95 years as a club in Stroud.
It was a joint 95 Charter Celebration and Presidents Night held at The Old Lodge Inn, Minchinhampton.
President Eric Brownbill welcomed all and introduced special guest Joan Goldsmith, Assistant District Govenor, who praised the club and the loyal work of Stroud Members.
Joan also praised the work of Rotarian Graham Furley who is Stroud Rotary Sargent at Arms the most senior active member at the age of 94.
During the evening Richard Norton was welcomed as the latest new member of Stroud Rotary and gave an excellent welcome acceptance speech.
After an excellent meal, the evening entertainment was a George Formby tribute act by Matthew Sproston of Gloucester.
The entertaining M/C for the evening was Rotarion Richard Lacey.
