St James' Church, Quedgeley: Fundraising for Cancer Research
Community groups, local residents, young and old joined together at Saint James’ Church Quedgeley to raise funds for Cancer Research.
Cakes, sandwiches, fairy cakes were mainly baked by volunteers, but Tesco‘s in Quedgeley gave a donation of raffle prizes and goodies.
The event organised by the two community groups (Chatterbox and Chit Chat) at Saint James’ Church Quedgeley raised £342.
Jackie Hall Organiser said: “Over 100 people were in church during the morning. The place was buzzing. We made £342 towards Cancer Research. We believe it is a very worthwhile charity. Everyone I know has been affected either directly or indirectly through family or friends from this disease. Thankfully, many pull through, others aren’t so lucky.”
