Nailsworth & District Flower Arrangement Society
THE November meeting was as usual our annual member’s supper evening.
Fifty members sat down to a delicious cold buffet of ham, homemade quiches, and a tasty selection of salads, hot new potatoes, and crusty bread.
This was followed by a variety of tempting sweets and washed down with a glass of wine or soft drink, all prepared and served by members of the committee.
Martin Fry ex-headmaster of Horsley School then entertained us with stunning photographs of flowers and scenes in Gloucestershire throughout the Seasons, presented with taped music and songs from local musician Johnny Copin.
Our competition for the evening was won by Daphne Turner who was presented with the Mary Barnard Cup.
Tickets were on sale for the Christmas Open Evening at Wycliffe College on Wednesday, December 13, and are still obtainable from Linda on 01453 758496 or Eileen on 01453 835752.
There is no meeting in January but look out for tickets to the ever popular Open Day in April 2018.
