Pepping up the Stonehouse Gardening Club AGM
EARLY this month, the Stonehouse Gardening Club held an AGM that started with the sale of plants and unwanted gardening items in good condition.
A new spade, unused garden nets, spare parts, dibbers, garden twine were all snapped up.
More items will be offered on May 19, at the Stall on the Green along with plants.
The Chairperson then gave her annual report, looking back on the past year and forward to the new programme.
The club intends to hold two evening meetings visiting gardens this year, in June to Trench Hill garden, in July for a guided tour of Westbury Water Garden.
The main day-long outing will be on September 8, to Waterperry gardens near Oxford.
The next meeting of this club is on Wednesday, May 2, when Jenny Bailey will be talking on The Trials and Pleasures of being a Bloom Town.
All visitors are welcome.
