An Autumn Serenade was enjoyed at Pitville Pump Rooms.

After a change of programme Margaret Daniels, The Bard of Barnwood, royally entertained us with her poetry and local tales, humorously told.

Margaret had a lilting voice similar to Pam Ayres and held the members enthralled.

She began writing in the 70s when working at Barnwood School in various guises later joining a writers guild who encouraged her to get her poems printed.

Margaret is a vibrant speaker and writer who made our evening brighter.

A warm round of applause followed by a vote of thanks from Marlene.

Margaret generously donated her fee to the James Hopkins Trust.

We meet again on Monday, October 29, for our AGM followed by a fish and chip supper at Upton Village Hall at 7.30pm.

All ladies very welcome.
