Chalford Parish in 42 Stories
THE Chalford Parish Local History Group, only formed two years ago, have just published a book entitled Chalford Parish in 42 Stories.
Over the last eighteen months, 28 contributors have researched and written separate chapters encompassing a wide range of topics, describing various aspects of Chalford’s rich history.
The section headings are Chalford over Time, Buildings, People & Places, Events & Activities, Transport and Reminiscences.
At the book launch, on Wednesday, November 21, at France Lynch Church Rooms, over 50 members first heard from five of the authors how they had gone about their researches.
Then after the team photograph everyone enjoyed a celebratory drink.
The book is on sale at Eastcombe Stores, Chalford Community Shop, Bisley Green Shop and the Parish Centre.
