St James' Church, Quedgeley wishes you a merry Christmas
VOICES rang out loud and clear throughout Tesco Store in Quedgeley on Tuesday evening, when volunteers from Saint James’ took part in their annual Carol singing event.
Parishioners from Saint James’ Church, Quedgeley were invited by Tesco at Quedgeley to sing carols for an hour on Tuesday evening.
The team of 14 volunteers sang a medley of carols from ‘Away in a Manager’ to an amazing rendering of ‘Joy to the World’.
The group managed to raise £139, the proceeds to Saint James’ Church, Quedgeley.
Revd Canon Fr. John Ward said: ‘My grateful thanks to Theresa Fisher, our Tesco Community Champion, for allowing us the time in the store. Apart from raising much needed funds for the church, it gave us the opportunity to meet people from our community. I was heartened by the fact that several decided to park their trolleys and join us, singing carols!’
