MADAM - Having twice visited the impressive Asda exhibition at Stroud Rugby Club, I came away somewhat concerned.
My first concern was that their proposed entrance was to be almost opposite my drive and I assumed that for me to drive out would be very difficult, particularly if trying to turn right.
I was somewhat consoled to be informed that I would benefit from a sensor near my drive which would activate the proposed traffic lights to be installed at their new entrance, thereby allowing me to exit my drive.
However, after my asking what traffic movements this entrance would incur, an eventual figure of 6,000 vehicle movements a day was suggested, my guess this figure is somewhat on the conservative side.
I can imagine the nightmare traffic congestion this could cause particularly considering the close proximity of the Golden Cross traffic lights and the Dudbrige Road junction adjacent to The Kitesnest pub.
