MADAM - I would like to say a huge thank you for our son Robert's memorial bench.
This would never have come about but for the help and kindness of Clive Field of the Cotswold Canal Trust.
He helped us plan and organise the placing of the bench opposite the Lockkeeper's Cafe Bar.
The article in the SNJ of July 31 had two photos, one of the plaque and one of a group of family, staff and carers.
The only two people missing were Clive Field and Adam Morrigan, Rob's personal tutor.
Seated were Tony, Rob's dad, Gwenda Collinson and Lee Philips:- both from Aspirations Care, (Gwenda was manager of Rob's care team and Lee spent a lot of time with Rob in hospital during 2011) and Phil Moorsom - Sarah's cousin and Rob's pallbearer.
Standing were Lee Townsend, from the Lockkeeper's, Will Mercer; editor for the Run of the Mill, the Ruskin Mill magazine, Sarah, Rob's mum, Wendy Townsend, owner of the Lockkeeper's Cafe Bar, the Rev Brian Woollaston, who conducted Rob's funeral on March 15, 2012 at St Laurence's church.
We are very grateful to those who could attend the photo shoot and again to all the carers who looked after Rob during his last 13 months of life.
Sarah and Tony Dawtrey Wallbridge Stroud
