ON the study by King’s College London which found that a strong form of cannabis called skunk was associated with one in four new cases of psychosis.

Posted by sensiblelos: Same rhetoric different day, still the decades of ‘reefer madness’ continues. This is not news, same big pharma propaganda. In England, in 2012 there were 6,490 alcohol-related deaths, a 19 per cent increase compared to 2001 There are many many medicinal qualities of cannabis widely documented, it remain illegal in the UK, yet tobacco and alcohol with no medicinal qualities remains legal. This government is indeed hypocritical.

The last Labour government commissioned Keel University to find a causal link between cannabis and schizophrenia. However, when their findings showed that, despite a marked increase in cannabis use over the period of the study, incidences of schizophrenia were pretty much consistent, the government quietly put the report in the bin marked ‘doesn’t fit with our agenda’.

On calls for the contract for the Javelin Park incinerator to be revealed.

Posted by tomttom: MBHT would divert 95 per cent of the waste away from incineration. About half of this is recyclates, the other a high grade biomass fuel that can be used as a direct replacement for coal or wood pellets. It can be conveniently transported to where it is needed, eg Dairy Crest.

In this way 80 per cent of the energy in the fuel can be used effectively, compared to just 20 per cent from the planned incinerator.

Also the removal of chlorine from the fuel means the fuel burns without producing significant dioxins - so much cleaner.
