OCTOBER Leaves
The beauty of this place
Heaven surely does embrace
These lovely leaves outside on ancient beeches now a red, rustic hue
Delights my ageing eyes to view
Soon old winter’s cold winds will scatter them away
Then they will be gathered up for burning on November’s Guy Fawkes day
And so the seasons go on
Always it has been so
Classical music delights me
Gives an euphoric glow
Yes it does you know.
