THE community are very lucky to have such a wonderful team of fire officers based in Stroud.
They came and extinguished my bonfire which I have to accept got slightly out of control.
They could not have been more helpful and friendly and did not give me the ticking off I expected!
The next day we took our grandson on a visit to the fire station so that we could thank the crew and although they were out on call our grandson, Hugh aged four, was given full access to a fire engine and shown all the equipment.
He even got to wear the kit which made his and our day.
We were very grateful to them on both occasions.
