I VOTED for you, Mr Drew, knowing your reputation for being an honourable, ethically driven MP, so I take this opportunity to appeal to you to persuade Jeremy Corbyn to publicly and repeatedly repudiate the death-sentence recently passed on 30-year-old Taimoor Raza, for what Pakistani officials claim were derogatory he remarks made about the Holy Prophet.
The European Parliament has already condemned this use of ‘blasphemy laws’ to prevent the basic human right to intellectual enquiry.
With our strong family and cultural ties to Pakistan, it’s time British politician’s spoke up too.
That ‘thought-crime’ is punishable by death in Pakistan should concern every right-thinking individual.
Ironically Mr Raza was tried in an ‘anti-terrorism’ court.
It seems that in Pakistan, courts-of-law are doing the terrorists’ work for them!
