AS WE now approach the winter solstice and Stroud rings down the curtain on its silly season, we are left looking back with a degree of nostalgia at what the preceding months have entertained your readers with.
We have seen regular displays of Mssrs Marjoram and House polishing their halos on the empty promises of St Corbyn.
Sadly their boring rhetoric is not unlike an angry dog chewing on a piece of gristle but on a lighter note they have been ably supported by strip-ins and sit-ins involving our long-awaited incinerator.
On a much lighter note, come Yuletide we can, I am sure, look forward to that happy band of carol singers, singing to a pair of gates in the middle of nowhere.
